Highly recommend Code 4 Defense for all ages and experience levels! Travis MacLeod is very informative, straight to the point, and speaks from experience, not theory. IMO everyone should take a concealed carry class, even if you don't plan to carry. Knowing how to operate a handgun and the fine-lines of the law is the first step to protecting and teaching yourself, your friends, and your family!
Travis was a great instructor. He has small sized classes that make it feel more personal and taught directly to you. He gives plenty of breaks throughout the class and supplies food/drink. I would highly recommend him to anybody looking to get instruction/education from him.

Travis isn't just the place to get qualified for a MN permit, but he is the beginning of your journey to becoming a competent and confident user of 2A tools. Don’t stop at the permit! Take his advance classes on empty hand defense, edged weapons, ground fighting, tactical movement and unorthodox shooting positions. Code 4 is well equipped to walk with you on your training adventure. Highly recommend!
Travis was great to work with, has a lot of experience and had plenty of real life experiences to connect to the trainings. The course was full of good information on how to keep safe and protect. I was a little nervous when getting out in the range but Travis made it comfortable, safe, and helped with tips to shoot safer and confidently.
This was a very informative and fun class. Each of my friends felt confident and knowledgeable after completing the training from Travis Macleod. He was thorough and patient, answering every question and giving us the needed practice. We each left ready to go get out Conceal and Carry license! I’ve taken plenty of classes with some of the top national trainers, Chuck Haggard, the late Pat Rogers, AJ Zito, etc. Code 4 gets my recommendation and top ratings for breaking down the complexity of winning a life and death encounter. I would encourage you to use Code 4 for not just beginning your training, but taking you to a level where you can perform cold and on demand on the worst day of your life. If you carry a 2A tool, you have an ethical and moral obligation to be trained to a high level. Give them a call!
